African swine fever outbreaks - What about Europe? Can we take it easy?

Day by day I'm increasingly worried about the swine fever.
Many farmer seem happy because China is buying pig meat from EU producers but the disease is spreading as well.
So while the demand is increasing, new outbreaks could occur everywhere, considering the high presence of wild boars around many hill-farms.

Some days ago I have read this news about the research aimed at the release of a vaccine, but it doesn't seem a next perspective; at present what can we do to prevent outbreaks in our pigsties? https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/24/progres ... fever.html
