An article published by the BBC Academy website highlights some common issues in the science-research reporting.
Often non-specialized journalists and writers are not skilled in recognizing the 'fake science', or stories not so relevant to be reported.
Not all the scientific research discoveries are so important and are able to generate appreciable improvements.
