The World Association of Agronomists launches the websites of the AWAF Foundation and the WAAforAgenda2030 Action Plan for sustainable development
The websites of the AWAF Foundation (https://awaf.foundation) and WAAforagenda2030 (https://waaforagenda2030.org) are online, from where it will be possible to follow the work of the Foundation and the participation to the Action Plan WAAforagenda2030.
The "Agronomists World Academy Foundation" (AWAF) has as its purpose the promotion of scientific and technological research in the agronomic, forestry, territorial, rural, environmental, landscape and more generally sustainable development sectors as well as the dissemination of the related results, in order to make them available to professionals and operators worldwide. The Foundation also has as its purpose the promotion of cultural initiatives in the education sector, which respond to the need of increasing scientific knowledge, managerial preparation, entrepreneurial action, cultural development in agronomic, agri-food, environmental sciences, landscape and more generally sustainable development at both national and international level.
For this purpose, the Foundation, on the basis of the United Nations Convention related to the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions of Paris 20 October 2005, referring to the provisions of the international instruments adopted by UNESCO concerning cultural diversity and the exercise of cultural rights, in particular the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity of 2001 and on the principles of the Universal Charter of the Agronomist 18 September 2015, sets as its particular objective cultural training, research and sustainable development professional innovation of members of each country belonging to the World Association of Agronomists - WAA / Associacion Mundial des Ingegneros Agronomos - AMIA.
It promotes, organizes internships, workshops, masters, seminars, laboratories, training courses, updating, specialization in the sustainable agronomic and forestry development science and in the culture of sustainable agronomic and forestry development, also for the qualification and dissemination of culture in the agro-food production and education for sustainability, for the construction of training courses of excellence, aimed to translate cultural processing into qualified operational skills and for the dissemination of a culture of sustainability at all levels.
The activities of the Foundations are based on volunteering and donations from people who care about the progress of sustainable development and its models to be tested in international project partnerships.
Joining the Foundation can be done as an "Institutional" Supporting Participant, "Meritorious" Supporting Participant, "Volunteer" Supporting Participant

Following and participating in the development of the Action Plan means taking an active part in sustainable development, to improve the quality of the Planet and to give greater opportunities to areas in difficulty
WaaForAgenda2030 - Action Plan develops and implements, as part of Agenda 2030, the Global Farm of the Future 2.0 project with which the World Association of Agronomists participated to the Universal Exhibition in Milan EXPO2015, Feed the world, energy for life. The Action Plan is managed, developed and promoted by the "Agronomists World Academy Foundation" under the high patronage of the "World Association of Agronomists". Waaforagenda2030 is an action plan for the next ten years to promote sustainable development and best practices in agriculture, the agri-food and forestry sectors.
