In some countries the agronomist is a professional also acting and safeguarding the landscape and the nature, but we know also the agricultural agronomist is strictly commited during his work on nature's protection issues. So the agronomist of this forum is a wide professional figure, some of you could say: landscaper? phytopathologist, entomologist? ..and so on!? We only say 'agronomist'. Rural sociology-rural life discussion & docs review In this board farmers and other country people can discuss issue related to rural life and problems they meet in their everyday life. Some of these problems, we can realize, are ever more studied by rural sociologists, a group of scholars frequently involved in the design of rural and agricultural policies. So anyone of us could aim to point them some little problem whose solution can improve thecountry-people's everyday life. Some of the issues studied by rural sociologists are, for example, 'food deserts', migrations involving different groups of people to or away from the country, lackness of important services, lonelyness and so on. In this board you can discuss this issues in their generic aspects, not related to local and/or periodic political issues. People can also review here online available docs and books about rural sociology, but noone is allowed to post any kind of advertising messages, or to post frequent books reviews, neither is possible to address links to book-stores. |
